Campezification
by Maestro | 2009-07-20 11:30:22

It's damn hot and the summer is quite awsome this year. Things have been a little quiet here at Team Boomtown, as it usually is in the holiday period.
I am very proud to announce that our own frag-hero Joachim "Campez" Gryholm, has finished his movie, which has been recorded over the last year.
Joachim is without doubt a very strong player, and his tactical insight and aim have been a great force for the battlefield team here at Team Boomtown.
Frag maniac
Campez had this to say about the creation of the movie:
When I first started making the movie, it was my goal to make it one of the better movies around. However, I quickly lost motivation and desided to dump the project and it remained more or less untouched for quite some time. Then a week ago I decided to sit down and do a little editing again with the fraps clips I had on my harddisk and this is what came out of it.
As most of you can see by watching my movie, I'm into the more clean and simple way of editing, which some of may like, while others will find it boring.

Battlefield 2 player released
by DelPrado | 2009-05-21 11:08:00

It is not with joy we can announce, that we are releasing one of our long time Battlefield 2 players. Jesper '
Tex' Frederiksen is the player leaving the team. The cause of the release is that we have had 6 players in the team in a 5 player based game for backup reasons. Tex has been away from the game competitively for a while and had this position. He now wants move on, in order to play regularly once again, which is understandable.
Tex has been a part of the team for a long time, and has influenced and shaped the team into what it is today. We have enjoyed the time we have had together and wish you the best of luck in the future.

Team Boomtown back in Cod4
by Arachon | 2009-05-20 21:00:00

About a week ago, we decided to release our Call of Duty 4 squad from Team Boomtown and in the period since that, we have been scouring the market for a new team. The brand new Team Boomtown CoD4 squad is so new that the team has not been recognised by any name yet; however, a few recognisable faces are present in the lineup, which is:

Stefan '
DeZ' Møller

Stefan '
Guana' Brylle Geisler

Niklas '
Peeman' Hansen

Jonas '
sWISz' Frøsig Bøgvad

Steffen '
zENTSE' Vester

Thomas '
Jacks0n' Vestergaard (backup)
The lineup consists of two of the old Team Boomtown players,
Guana and
Jacks0n together with
DeZ and
Peeman, they have all been a part of the wegame team which participated in the-eXperience 08. A couple of new faces is former Roskilde Ravens player
zENTSE and Team DSRack player
sWISz.
CoD4 team manager Anders '
Arachon' Fredslund gave the following statement about this new team:
Eventhough we have had propositions from foreign teams, quite good teams aswell, we have decided to stick to our concept of only having Danish teams in Team Boomtown. We see a great chemistry between the players in this new team, which is a key element for a team, in order for it to live long and prosper. We do however also see great potential in this new team and they will hopefully be able to reach the same, if not higher, level as the previous Team Boomtown CoD4 team.
The leader of the team Stefan '
Guana' Brylle Geisler, said the following:
After the closing of the former Team Boomtown CoD4 squad, I started playing with some of my mates, coming from different top clans in Denmark. Not only did I trust in their skills, all being aimstarzdeluxe, I also knew that all of these guys were positive and humoristic people; but always ready for some serious gaming. All in all, we matched each other quite well, and that’s why I have confidence in this team.
Our goal is to fight with the top of Danish CoD4, but with time become strong enough to mess with the top teams of Europe. We aim to participate in different LANs, and it is therefore nice to have an organization like Team Boomtown in the back, already from the beginning. For now, there is nothing else to say than WATCH OUT – Team Boomtown is coming!

Team Boomtown CoD4 released
by Arachon | 2009-05-13 22:11:04

After one of the key players in the Call of Duty 4 team left a couple of weeks ago, the players have had a small break to figure out what they wanted to do. It has lead to that we, the management, have decided to release all the players, since the motivation to continue as a team, with such a severe loss, has dropped to zero.
Manager Anders '
Arachon' Fredslund had the following to say about the situation:
It has been a pleasure to be a part of the team ever since we announced the comeback of wegame in the fall last year. There has been ups and downs both online and offline, but I think that I speak for us all, when I say it has been a pleasure. Finally I would like to wish the best of luck to the players in their future within Call of Duty.
Arachon, the Call of Duty 4 manager, will stay within the Team Boomtown organisation.

mbD leaves Team Boomtown
by Maestro | 2009-05-11 18:54:08

Due to various reasons which we don't want to specify any further in a public forum, we have been forced to release the Trackmania player Mikkel Brandt Danielsen also known as mbD with immediate effect.
With the exit of mbD, we are without any racing team at this point. It is still unknown if we continue our search for new players in the world of racing.

Team Boomtown CoD4 loses a player
by Arachon | 2009-04-30 20:25:13

Thursday night marks the end of an era for the Call of Duty 4 team in Team Boomtown, with the leaving of one of the long time members of the team; more specifically Mathias '
AdagiO' Braun. After co-founding the CoD4 team "wegame", a team which later on went to join Team Boomtown, AdagiO switched from being an assault player to sniper and have over time, become one of the best snipers in the Danish community.
Call of Duty 4 team manager Anders '
Arachon' Fredslund had the following to say about AdagiO leaving:
AdagiO has been a part of the team from the beginning and it is therefor also with great sorrow that he has decided to leave the team, as he will be truely missed. With AdagiO leaving the team, we are currently down to four players in the roster. It is always annoying and timeconsuming to have to rebuild a team, but we as a team now face this challenge... once again.
We wish AdagiO the best of luck in his further ventures within the world of gaming.

Team Boomtown wins the ESL BF2 Winter League
by DelPrado | 2009-04-29 18:58:15

Yesterday, the Battlefield 2 team managed to win the ESL Winter League after winning the action packed match against
Team YoYoTech. But the way to the final has not been the easiest as the team did not performed their best in the group stage as mentioned
earlier.
The
playoffs began and the first knockout match awaited against
goldfische. A match, in which most people expected goldfische to win, but Team Boomtown was ready and pulled of a solid performance. The semi final match against
BioXar.FortKnox ended up in a forfeit win, as some of the BioXar players were unable to play because of an admin decission from a previous incident in ESL.
Team Boomtown had made it to the final and knew it would be a really tough and intense match, as Team YoYoTech had won every single match since the start of the cup. But we did it. Team Boomtown grabs the 1st place.

Team Boomtown goes Trackmania
by Maestro | 2009-04-13 13:40:00

We are pleased to announce a new game to our list of games. We have always wanted to have a team in the racing scene and TrackMania seems to be the most competitive game in this type of game. Therefore we have been looking for players in TrackMania, and we are very pleased to sign a deal with an upcoming Danish TrackMania star,

Mikkel "
mbD" Brandt.
With the addition of Mikkel, Team Boomtown now consists of 3 different teams in the following games:
Battlefield 2,
Call of Duty 4, and now
TrackMania Nations Forever.
Mikkel had the following to say about joining up with Team Boomtown:
I have been in touch with several teams lately, but never really an organization like Team Boomtown. Actually, I have longed for the right offer, and now it has been forfilled.
I am thrilled for the opportunity I got and I am ready to give my best in Team Boomtown's service.
I see myself as very ambitious and focused, which I hope will get me good to The eXperience 09'.
I look forward to meeting with you, and to bring the results home, baby!
The first event Mikkel will attend will be the Danish powerpacket event,
The eXperience.
I wish Mikkel the best luck in Team Boomtown, lets go hunt some shiny medals.
